Job description

As an AEM Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing web applications using Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and maintain digital experiences that meet business requirements. Your role will involve working on AEM components, templates, workflows, and integrations to deliver high-quality web solutions.


Responsibilities

  1. Design, develop, and implement AEM-based web applications, including templates, components, workflows, and integration with external systems.
  2. Collaborate with UI/UX designers, content authors, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  3. Customize and extend AEM functionality through the development of custom components, servlets, services, and workflows.
  4. Configure and manage AEM environments, including authoring, publishing, and dispatcher setups.
  5. Implement and optimize SEO best practices within AEM websites.
  6. Perform code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure the quality and stability of AEM applications.
  7. Collaborate with backend developers and system administrators to ensure seamless integration with backend systems and infrastructure.
  8. Stay up-to-date with AEM best practices, industry trends, and new features to propose and implement innovative solutions.


Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  2. Minimum 3 to 4 plus years of experience as an AEM Developer or similar role, with a strong understanding of AEM development and customization.
  3. Proficiency in developing AEM components, templates, workflows, and DAM (Digital Asset Management) functionalities.
  4. Strong knowledge of web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frontend frameworks (e.g., Angular, React).
  5. Experience with Java development and familiarity with JCR (Java Content Repository) and OSGi (Open Services Gateway initiative) frameworks.
  6. Familiarity with RESTful web services, JSON, and integration with third-party systems.
  7. Understanding of SEO best practices and optimization techniques for AEM-based websites.
  8. Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  9. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  10. Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies and version control systems (e.g., Git) is a plus.
  11. Adobe Experience Manager certification(s) is a plus.
